What is NDIS Independent Living Support?
Living independently is about more than managing a household — it's about having the freedom to live your life the way you choose. At Thrive in Life Care, our independent living service provides hands-on support for daily tasks, personal care, and household management so you can stay in your own home on the Central Coast with confidence.
We don't do things for you — we do things with you, building your skills and capacity along the way. Every support plan is shaped by your goals, your preferences, and your pace.
What we help with
- Daily personal care — morning and evening routines, hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation
- Household management — cleaning, laundry, shopping, and home maintenance
- Meal planning and cooking — building nutrition skills and confidence in the kitchen
- Budgeting and finances — managing bills, setting up direct debits, and learning money skills
- Health and appointments — support to attend medical appointments, manage medications, and stay on top of wellbeing
- Safety and routine — creating structured daily routines that feel comfortable and sustainable
How it's funded through the NDIS
Independent living services are typically funded under Assistance with Daily Life in your NDIS plan. Some supports may also fall under Improved Living Arrangements depending on your goals and plan structure.
We support self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed participants. Our team can walk you through how your plan funding applies — no jargon, just clear answers.
