What is NDIS Respite Care?

Caring for someone you love is one of the most rewarding things you can do — and also one of the most demanding. Respite care gives family carers a chance to recharge, attend to their own needs, or simply take a break, while knowing their person is safe, supported, and enjoying quality care.

At Thrive in Life Care, we provide both planned and emergency respite on the Central Coast. Whether you need regular scheduled breaks or unexpected support, our team is here for you and your family.

Types of respite we offer

Planned respite — regular, scheduled breaks for family carers, agreed in advance and built into your routine
Emergency respite — short-notice support when unexpected situations arise and carers need immediate help
In-home respite — a support worker comes to the participant's home, maintaining familiar surroundings and routines
Community-based respite — taking participants out for activities and social engagement while carers rest
